Quick guide

How to use
Khora.

The essentials for discovering, joining, and sharing.

01

Getting started

You can explore part of Khora as a guest. To publish, chat, and organize activities, create a free account and verify your email.

  1. Open the app and choose Sign up.
  2. Enter an alias or your name, email, and password.
  3. Choose your interests to make stories and suggestions more relevant.
  4. If you want local features, add your city now or later.
  5. Confirm that you are at least 18, accept the terms, and verify your email.
Your city is optional: posts are global by default. A location is only needed for local features.
02

Feed and content

The Feed is a global magazine built around your interests. It brings together posts, questions, podcasts, projects, and, from time to time, a panel for news from your city.

Use the central + button to create a global post or voluntarily add a location, as well as publish events, activities, questions, groups, and pages. Posts can include text, photos, video, and audio; audio can become a podcast episode people listen to directly in the feed.

Projects are containers for connected posts, with a start date and an end date. They let you tell a journey—building a bicycle, for example—one update at a time, all the way to the result.

Comments, replies, and reactions let you join the conversation. Some content can also become an activity directly.

03

Activities and events

Activities turn an idea into a get-together. When creating one, you can:

  • pick a map position or search for a place;
  • set the date, time, duration, and category;
  • invite friends, groups, or selected people;
  • make it public or private;
  • add a description, image, and attendance limits.

The activity details contain participants, updates, and a dedicated conversation. Notifications cover invitations, attendance, and changes.

04

Messages, calls, and groups

In Connections, you can find people and pages, manage requests, open chats, and create groups. Conversations support text, photos, captioned video, audio messages, and calls.

People can restrict messages to friends. To reduce unwanted contact, messages to someone who is not yet a friend may be limited.

05

Profile and preferences

From your profile, update your image, bio, alias, city, and interests; see connections and trophies; manage pages and projects; share your profile; and open settings.

Settings cover light, dark, or automatic appearance; initial screen; feed radius; notifications; privacy; who may message you; and advertising consent. The Supporter plan adds extra features and removes ads.

06

Safety and control

Use the menu on content, comments, messages, or profiles to report anything that breaks the rules. You can also mute or block people and groups and change who may contact you.

For help or reports, email info@khorasocial.com. You can also read our child safety standards.

07

  2. Go to Account management.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Follow the confirmation shown by the app.
Important: deletion is permanent and removes account data as described in the app and Privacy Policy.
